m2 Winery, designed and built by renowned NJA Architecture, is located in Acampo California. Set back in the vineyard, the m2 winery facility integrates with the surrounding landscape. The structure's linear form, 240 ft long, 40 ft wide, and 20 ft high, mimics the rhythm of the vines. The exterior corten steel cladding picks up the rusted steel trellis supporting the vineyard. Large sliding metal framed doors clad with translucent polycarbonate doors surround three sides of the tasting room, providing the ability to enlarge the room and open the interior space to the landscape. The m2 Winery is a full wine-making production facility with a crush pad, fermentation tanks, barrel room, case storage, and wine lab. 288 square meters of solar panels provides almost 100% of the electrical needs of the winery and vineyard.Patrons snuggle up to the winery's Alaskan pipeline outdoor fire pit.
